Maarten Cottyn studeerde af aan de universiteit antwerpen als master in de revalidatiewetenschappen en kinesitherapie. Door de beperking in de opleiding kinesitherapie startte hij een opleiding aan het FICO (Flanders institute of College Osteopathy). Dit deed hij om een bredere kijk en kennis over het menselijk lichaam te verkrijgen, met als doel het lichaam meer als een geheel te zien en de oorspronkelijke bron van de klachten te achterhalen. Maarten gebruikt technieken uit zowel het structurele, viscerale en craniale gebied, waarbij neurologie centraal staat. Naast dry needling en cupping blijft hij zich continu bijscholen om optimale zorg te kunnen verlenen. Waar nodig worden enkele voedingtips aangeboden.
